Fire Chief Stribling “Jay” Wheeler will serve as the town’s part-time Fire Chief. Chief Wheeler also works for the City of Fultondale and will continue to serve their department
as a fireman and medic.
He is a paramedic instructor and holds an associate’s degree from Jefferson Sate Community College, and a bachelor’s degree from UAB. He is a certified Fire Fighter I and II and holds a National Registry Paramedic Certification with the state of Alabama. Wheeler is also a certified Critical Care Paramedic, certified Flight Paramedic, and certified Smoke Diver.
