Taking the Program

If interested in driving school, please check with the court magistrate before entering a plea on your citation. If you plead guilty, it will be too late to take driving school. If your ticket was issued by an agency other than the Town of Blountsville, and you have been approved by the issuing court to attend Defensive Driving School, you must register for class in person and you must pay for the defensive driving class at the time of registration. The costs for referral cases is $30.00.

We accept cash or credit/debit for all Defensive Driving classes. There is a 3% service charge for debit/credit transactions.

Eligibility Requirements

If you have a Commercial Driver’s License or a prior conviction of D.U.I. you do not qualify for Defensive Driving School.

The class is available to a defendant with no minor moving traffic violations within the past five years and if the defendant has not previously attended a Defensive Driving Class.

You must possess a valid Alabama Driver’s License to attend the Defensive Driving Class.
